LACEP is a
non-profit corporation dedicated to
developing solutions to conflictive
issues in Latin America and the
Caribbean through the advancement of
research, education, and science
that leads to collaboration and
solutions. LACEP’s work in Latin
American is facilitated through its
counterpart, CERCA, in the Republic
of Panama. LACEP is based at the
Lozano Long Institute of Latin
American Studies at The University
of Texas –Austin.
LACEP works to build
collaborative partnerships between
leading business persons and
corporations, academicians,
nonprofit and governmental entities,
and educational institutions
throughout the USA and Latin America
and the Caribbean to address
divisive issues, especially those
related to the environment, energy,
water, land use, culture, ethnicity,
and policy formulation, through
conferences, research, teaching, and
facilitated problem solving.
